Briana started dancing at the age of 2 training in a multitude of dance styles including classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, contemporary, musical theater, International style Ballroom & Latin, and American style Rhythm & Smooth. Having received the title of Miss Teen Dance in 1999, and Miss Dance of in 2002, she completed her degree in dance, and received her Dance Masters of America teaching certification. Her performance roles as a principle ballerina for the Ballet Repertory Company include the “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, Swan Lake”, Coppelia, and other major ballets, music videos for MO’AT and Jenny Lee, and acting roles in the movies, “The Intruder”, and “Intensive Scare”. She and her partner are currently working on a “Ballroom” reality show.
oreographic versatility has earned her students placement in top programs throughout the country including American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West, and Pennsylvania Ballet. In addition, Briana was the choreographer for the Oscar, Tony, and Pulitzer prize winning John Patrick Shanley’s play “Where’s My Money” and most recently as an assistant to Toni Redpath for “SYTYCD”
In September 2010 she was awarded the title of amateur Ballroom champion, and turned professional in 2011. Briana and her partner Kris Suakjian, have won multiple finalist and championship awards in major dancesport competitions, and are currently top ten in world rankings representing the in the “American Smooth” division. She has worked with top international coaches Toni Redpath, Toni Meredith, Heather Smith, and Nick Kosovich as seen in Dancing With the Stars, and SYTYCD”. Between her traveling, and competing, her ultimate goal is to share her vast knowledge and love of dance to enhance the growth and development of young dancers everywhere.
