Talia has been is a consistent behind the scenes presence on SYTYCD assisting Mia Michaels most recently on her tribute, and past work assisting Mia Michaels with her Emmy award winning pieces “Bitter Earth” and “When We Dance”. In addition she was assistant choreographer for Tyce Diorio for season 7. She has also had the pleasure working with Blake McGrath for SYTYCD Canada.
Talia has taught in Poland at the FNF Dance Intensive and enjoys traveling throughout the United States and abroad teaching and choreographing.
She is a faculty member with In10sity Dance Convention, currently assists Mia Michaels and Bobby Newberry with JUMP Dance Convention as schedule permits. She is on staff with Dance Connection Company (Scottsdale) and Mather Dance Company (California).

Talia began dancing at age 7 and credits her formal training to her sister Christina Nelson. While growing up in her home town of Phoenix, Arizona she received scholarships from Monsters of Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jump, Co dance, LADF, and Encore Division III Performer of the year. In 2009 Talia was invited to perform and choreograph for Automatic Response Professional Jazz Company Show; “Conversations of Lust. “
Talia was an invitee and attendee to Brian Freidman’s intensive for three consecutive years. She received the Pulse Protégé Scholarship two years in a row with “The Pulse on Tour”, which was artistically directed by Brian Friedman and Mia Michaels. Talia received the prestigious title of 2009/2010 Elite Advanced Pro Protégé with the Pulse on Tour. She gained valuable insight while training with Brian Freidman, Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, Chris Judd and Laurie Ann Gibson that year. While assisting on the tour she worked with Brian Friedman with selecting dancers, rehearsing and setting his choreography in each city for the fashion show. In addition, he selected Talia to direct in his absence.
She resides in Los Angeles and continues to train and work with artists and dancers that inspire her.
